Dr. Walther has more than 28 years of experience in policy and technical analyses in the energy field. For the past 8 years, she has developed a consulting practice providing expert witness and regulatory support on a broad range of energy issues, including the valuation of electricity plants, assessments of the competitiveness of natural gas markets, and the evaluation of demand-side management programs. Prior to developing her consulting practice, Dr. Walther spent nearly 20 years at Southern California Edison Company in a number of project management and supervisory positions. Dr. Walther has served as an expert witness in administrative law proceedings and has participated in formal settlement meetings at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Prior to joining Southern California Edison Company, Dr. Walther was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California with specialties in economics of aging and labor economics.
Dr. Walther earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California - Berkeley and her B.S. degree in Mathematics from Stanford University.
