Hilary Kramer is an investment specialist with 25 years of experience in equity research, asset allocation, risk assessment, and portfolio management. Financial Times columnist John Dizard called Ms. Kramer "a powerful and highly respected expert in the world of investing and asset management."

Ms. Kramer is the author of Ahead of the Curve (2007, Simon & Schuster), projecting effects of global technological change on financial markets, and her upcoming investment book will be released by John Wiley & Sons in October 2011. Ms. Kramer’s market commentary appears in the Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and Forbes, and she is a regular guest commentator on CNBC, CNN, and Fox News. Since 2005, Ms. Kramer has been the Street Critique commentator on PBS’s “Nightly Business Report.”

Ms. Kramer started her career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley covering natural resources, communications and financial institutions. In 1991, she joined the structured finance division of Lehman Brothers, specializing in asset-backed securitization. From 1994 to 2003, she served as senior managing director of a family office, overseeing a $5.2 billion fund of private equity and publicly-traded securities and managing extensive mergers & acquisitions activities. Ms. Kramer also has been a consultant to financial institutions, serving as senior strategist at investment manager Montgomery Asset Management, hedge fund Montgomery Partners, and Freddie Mac. In 2006, Ms. Kramer founded an equity long-short global fund and currently publishes two web-based investment advisory newsletters.

Building on her extensive investment experience, Ms. Kramer provides expert testimony in cases involving risk management, investment suitability, securities fraud, auction rate securities, valuation of CDOs, CMOs and subprime debt, fund of funds, and investment product disclosure and due diligence issues.

Ms. Kramer received her MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her BA, with honors, from Wellesley College.
