Delores Conway is the Associate Dean for Masters Programs and Professor of Statistics and Real Estate Economics at the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester. She oversees the Admissions and Career Management areas, as well as enhancing corporate outreach and visibility of the Simon School. She also works with students to create international learning/networking opportunities. Her research interests include statistics, real estate, health care management, finance, law and labor markets and her papers have appeared in many academic journals.
Prior to joining the Simon School, Conway served as a tenured faculty member at the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business, where she taught graduate courses in statistics, time series, multivariate analysis, regression methods, and market analysis for real estate. She recently served as the director of the Casden Real Estate Forecast at the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate. In 1999, she received USC’s highest teaching honor, the University Associates Award for Teaching Excellence, which is awarded each year to only two of the university’s faculty. Before her USC appointment, she served on the faculty of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. She is an elected fellow of the American Statistical Association and a former chair of the Business and Economics Statistics Section. She has also served on the editorial boards of major academic journals including the Journal of the American Statistical Association.
Professor Conway received her Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Statistics from Stanford University, and two undergraduate degrees in mathematics, computational methods and statistics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
She has consulted with companies on the application of statistics to medical care, security options, information products, environmental pollution, market analysis and statistical evidence in legal cases. Dr. Conway has served as an expert witness to evaluate statistical evidence for a large number of legal cases. She has worked with more than 20 law firms in Chicago and Los Angeles on legal cases involving employment discrimination, wage and hour issues, environmental pollution, deregulation, and insurance.
