Jason Bass is an economist and financial analyst with almost twenty years of experience assisting clients with a broad range of valuation, feasibility, impact and planning issues. He is a Principal with Resort Advisory Group International, a boutique consultancy specializing in resort-related development, asset management, strategic planning and litigation support.
Jason joined Resort Advisory Group International following three years with Warnick + Company, a Phoenix-based hospitality and recreation consultancy. While with Warnick + Company Jason was responsible for much of the firm’s financial and economic research and analysis activities. Before Warnick + Company, Jason was a Principal with Dornbusch Associates, an economic consulting firm providing real estate, water and natural resource development and management services. Jason’s work with Dornbusch included the valuation of the lodging, food & beverage, and retail concession facilities at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. For this engagement, he was designated an expert and provided several hours of direct and rebuttal testimony in a dispute regarding capital recovery rights. Jason has provided expert witness service on a number of legal matters for which he has provided written opinions and affidavits, been deposed, and testified in mediation, arbitration, and in court.
Jason joined Dornbusch Associates after working as a consultant with two litigation support practices, first with Ernst and Young in San Francisco and then with a small firm, EconomInc in Berkeley, that later merged with Law and Economics Consulting Group (LECG). With both firms he performed numerous and varied market, operational, and financial analyses in support of both plaintiff and defendant positions.
Jason graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.Sc. in Resource Economics. He completed his Master degree in Resource Economics at the University of California at Davis. Jason holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and holds a real estate sales license in the State of Arizona. He is proficient in French and Spanish.
