FSG Hosts Energy Dinner in Houston
Academic Affiliate Sheridan Titman, Professor of Finance at the University of Texas' McCombs School of Business and Executive Director of UT's Energy Management and Innovation Center, presented "A Different Way to Think About Energy Issues" at a dinner hosted by FSG in Houston.
The dinner was held at Vic & Anthony's. Professor Titman shared his thoughts and research on the economic environment's impact on a vareity of new challenges and litigation for industry participants and how it may ultimately impact regulation and litigation.

FSG Academic Affiliates Chester Spatt, Professor of Finance and Director of the Center for Financial Markets at Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School and former Chief Economist at the SEC, and Anthony Saunders, Professor of Finance and former Chairman of the Department of Finance and NYU's Stern School of Business, participated in a point/counter-point discussion on "The Credit Crisis: Where are We Now and What's Next" hosted by FSG at Del Posto in New York City in April.
The Professors presented a lively point/counter-point discussion on some of the most controversial aspects of the current credit crisis including many issues that many litigators have had to or will have to debate in the courtroom.

FSG Managing Director, Terry Lloyd, collaborates with Fulbright & Jaworski for webinar on traps and treasures in real property transfers in the current environment.
Terry Lloyd, a Managing Director at the firm, was invited to join the panel of Fulbright & Jaworski’s webinar, “Traps and Treasures: Effective Property Transfers Between Related Parties and Increased IRS Attention.” The webinar took place Wednesday, August 24th and addressed the current environment affecting transfers of property interests, particularly real estate, between related parties (such as family members). He addressed valuation issues in these transactions and strategies for “doing it right.”
